Centro Barsha by Rotana was introduced to us as “simply corporate with a bit of luxury,” and it’s exactly that! It’s a modern and affordable business hotel, which was perfect for us as we had to get some work done! When traveling, I’m always seeking accommodations that are conveniently located. Centro Barsha is located only 500 meters from the Mall of the Emirates, and a 7 minute walk from the Sharaf DG metro stop. This provided us with easy access to each area and attraction within Dubai.
Our check-in process was as easy as could be, and we were upgraded to the Centro Suite with a Queen Bed. With a small kitchen, living room, and adjacent bedroom, we enjoyed the space to be able to relax after a few days of travel. It was comfortable, modern, and the perfect one bedroom apartment. Centro was designed to be both chic and affordable, which we loved! We were in their most expensive suite, and yet it was only $138 a night (prices vary depending on time of year) — what a steal!
As a digital nomad, it’s always important that I have reliable WiFi at the hotel in which I’m staying, and I was extremely impressed with the high speed Internet in our room. I had five back-to-back video conference calls our first night at Centro Barsha and had no issues with connectivity. That alone makes Centro Barsha stand out amongst many other hotels!
If you’re hungry or thirsty, you have a few options within the hotel itself…
- C.Mondo, a cool bar open until about 2am
- C.Taste, an all-day dining restaurant buffet, in addition to an a la carte menu
- C.Deli, a 24 hour grab-and-go dining concept
Keep in mind that Centro has themed nights Sundays-Thursdays, with themes like “Island Life, Latin-Italia, Mid-Week Meat Lovers, Yalla Arabia, and Cheese & Vine). These themed nights are extremely well-priced and a great way to try a variety of food and drinks.
Each morning we indulged in Centro’s breakfast buffet, and it was delicious! Fresh waffles, fruits, and pastries gave us a great kick-start to our day. I highly recommend their honey-glazed granola!
Following breakfast, we checked out their rooftop pool (not photographed to keep the privacy of those swimming) before having an awesome – and very needed – gym session in their well-equipped gym.
Centro Barsha definitely caters to the traveling executive, so if you’re looking for an affordable hotel with strong WiFi, comfortable rooms, and tasty dining options in Dubai, Centro is the place to be!
**Special thanks to Centro Barsha for sponsoring my stay. As always, all opinions are my own.**
It’s also a really good hotel if you need access to either the marina or the highway to Abu Dhabi. I’ve stayed a few times over night – great for short stays and business.
