As I knew that I’d be arriving late at night on my flight from Kathmandu to Dubai, I had wanted to stay somewhere close to the airport, yet conveniently located within Dubai. The Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights couldn’t have been more perfect of a choice.
Upon walking in, the spacious lobby was beautifully lit in deep purples (and those that know me know that purple is my favorite color) and I was guided to the front desk to check in. Not only was I upgraded (!!) but I quickly discovered that the staff was as gracious, helpful, and friendly as could be – they went so above and beyond when it came to hospitality, even in the middle of the night.
The Accommodation.
When I was led to my room, the Regency Suite King, I was left in awe. The 872 sq. ft apartment was beautiful.
With a full kitchen, work desk, two bathrooms, large living space, and huge master bedroom, you simply cannot go wrong.
The room was nicely lit, with individually controlled air conditioning and lighting, and the beds were beyond comfortable!
The View.
While the Regency Suite King was absolutely lovely, the view was just spectacular. Every floor-to-ceiling window offered incredible vistas of Dubai Creek and the City Skyline lit up at night…
…or beaming with sunlight during the day.
Not a bad way to start my experience in Dubai! Believe it or not, ALL guestrooms and suites offer panoramic creek or city views!
The Facilities.
The Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights offers 8 luxurious spa treatments at their Nysa Spa & Club, 24-hour gym access for those that want to exercise at any hour, and a temperature-controlled outdoor swimming pool for those that want to soak up the sun — there’s a little bit for everyone! Because it was our first day in Dubai, we spent most of our time out exploring.
The Breakfast.
I just have to say … I wish I could eat breakfast all day long. Particularly breakfast at the Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights. I’m not even kidding. They offered everything you could possibly want or need for breakfast, both sweet and savory.
I had waffles with honeycomb to satisfy my sweet tooth, some fresh fruit, a latte, and some green juice to kickstart my day.
The Location.
First and foremost, the location is absolutely ideal for anyone on a quick stop in Dubai that wants to be close to the airport, as it’s located only 7 kilometers away from the International Airport. It made for the perfect gateway for me to drop my bags, get a good night’s sleep, eat well, and go off to explore Old Dubai.
With the Dubai Healthcare City metro stop just ten minutes away (walking), the Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights allows you easy access to anywhere in Dubai. We personally used it as a hub to explore Old Dubai — mainly the Souks, Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood, and the Heritage Village. In the Al Fahidi Fort (Dubai Museum) we learned of the history of Dubai Creek, where the city first began to grow.
The natural creek, Khor Dubai, runs inland and was the nucleus for the city to develop. The Creek epitomizes Dubai’s unique beauty, as people settled on both sides at Dubai and Deira. Prosperity as a port dates from about 1902 when Dubai became the main anchorage in the area for dhows coming from neighboring ports and as far away as India and East Africa. Today, Dubai Creek is still the main artery for trade in the Emirate and you can still see hundreds of dhows loading and unloading a variety of goods. We learned that we were staying in the heart of where it all began, which makes the Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights that much more beautiful of a destination.
When the Hyatt describes their Creek Heights hotel, they couldn’t be more accurate: “Experience a Five Star hotel in Dubai Healthcare City that lies at the crossroads of the bustling downtown and the ancient charm of the old city. A blend of modern design with local cultural influences captures the essence of Dubai, exuding a clever, energizing and confident appeal.” The Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights is truly a Five Star hotel for a reason; from exceptional service to spacious rooms and comfortable beds to delicious breakfast, and a chic modern design – it will truly make your stay in Dubai special.
