If looking for a five-star accommodation in Split, Croatia, Atrium Hotel is made for you. Atrium Hotel boasts 124 rooms, along with a restaurant, adjacent casino, wellness spa, and fitness center. The hotel is located on a central avenue and less than a five minute walk from a mall, which is convenient in case you forgot to pack something! A number of signs, pointing toward the hotel, ensured that we found easily.
One important factor in choosing accommodations is its proximity to popular sites. The most impressive, Diocletian’s Palace, is less than ten minutes away by foot, and the beach an additional five. Trogir, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for it’s medieval walls and old winding streets, is about an hour away and can be accessed via car, bus, or ferry.
The rooms are superior in terms of style and quality; the beds were incredibly comfortable and the room was quite spacious!
The bathroom was beautifully modern, and even features double sinks, so there is no competition for the faucet. Of course, the room also comes with a mini bar for those who might enjoy a midnight snack!
Breakfast at Atrium was fantastic, and a notable part of our stay. They offered anything you might imagine in their breakfast buffet, including smoked salmon, meats, cheeses, warm dishes, yogurts, cereals, fresh juices, and coffee. Such a satisfying way to start our morning.
While we did not eat dinner at the restaurant, it looked very impressive and was set at a reasonable 25 euros per plate. When passing by the restaurant, we saw that the food served looked quite appetizing! If the quality is anything like that of breakfast, I know that you’ll be happy. 5 FT Fun Fact: There’s a surprise in the basement of Atrium Hotel — the remains of Diocletian’s aqueduct, built in 300 AD. If you eat lunch at Atrium, it includes a visit to the aqueduct!
The wellness and spa center was most certainly one of the best we came across in our travels through more than twenty countries. The central area has a very polished look and attentive receptionist. The spa and wellness center includes: facial treatments, anti-age and total therapy treatments, along with massage and waxing treatments. The fitness room was one of the best, as it contained a selection of both cardio machines and free-weights. If this wasn’t enough, they even had an indoor pool for relaxing if you just don’t feel like going to the beach that day!.
Platinum Casino is tied into the hotel for those of you that want to gamble. The casino has table games such as American roulette, Blackjack, and Oasis poker. Slots are also an option if you want to gamble a little more casually.
For a five-star hotel in Split, Atrium Hotel is most definitely worth exploring!
